Fire door closing force test

Closing Force

Building Standards Act

Stand Unrequired

This testing is performed to measure fire door closing force. The operation of fire doors is required to undertake inspections by Building Standard Law of Japan (2014) Act No. 54. In addition, Enforcement Ordinance of the Building Standard Law of Japan (2005) stipulates that "the force to close is 150 N or less" as a provision regarding the closure of fire protection equipment. The handle used is designed to measure the closing force of the fire door, and by supporting it against the door, highly repeatable and safe measurement is possible.
