Syringe needle penetration test

Puncture Force

To measure the syringe needle penetration force, the resistance force is measured when the needle is pierced into an object. Various studies have been conducted on syringe needles to reduce pain of injection, which have led to improving the shape of the tip, the thickness of the needle, processing, and tip finishing method. Impressive improvements also include the development of needles made of environmentally friendly materials other than general metal. This penetration force test allows quantitative evaluation, which assists such development s in R&D and quality control.
