Tensile Strength
ISO
Tensile strength is one of the important factors for evaluating the tensile properties of paper. This video shows how to perform the tensile strength test of the paper complying with the corresponding part of ISO1924-2: 1994. Both ends of the paper, whose width is specified by the standard, are gripped and pulled until it breaks, then the peak force is measured. According to ISO1924-2: 1994, 10 samples need to be measured, and the tensile strength is calculated by the average value of the peak force and the width of the sample. The peak force and automatically converted peeling force value can be displayed when using the Next Series digital force gauge, after adding the "Conversion to Peeling Force Display Function" from IMADA Connected. In addition, by using the Data Acquisition Software download version, the tensile strength (average value of converted peeling force) of paper is automatically calculated. It is used for quality control and tensile property analysis of paper and paperboard.
